THOUGHT: Questions to go with Check Your Head 4: The Spiritual Mind

What is it that you do or what characteristic of your sis your favourite?

Is it ever good to forget?

Do you have a story about when somebody could not or would not forget?

What person in your life would you vote “most likely to succeed”? What do they have going for them?

Would your parents say you have too much ambition or too little? Why?

What is it going to take for you to be successful in the eyes of your parents? Your friends? Yourself? God?

According to Paul, what’s the secret to success (v.8)

Paul desires to know Christ better (v.10). On a scale of 1 (none) to 10 (great), how does your desire in this area rank?

What “rubbish” do you need to give up to know Christ better?

How would you compare your life goals to the apostle Paul’s goals in this passage?
