THOUGHT: Grace

In the book of Second Corinthians, Paul is like a kid, all excited to tell his big news. But it's not about a new toy or an "A" in spelling. He's excited to tell the church about grace. Imagine hearing about grace for the first time.

2 Corinthians 3:7-9 (New Living Translation)

7 The old way, with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses' face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away. 8 Shouldn't we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life? 9 If the old way, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new way, which makes us right with God!

That's glorious! Sometimes our lives--not so glorious. But 2 Corinthians 3:7-9 is a great reminder that the old way, living under all those laws from the first few books of the Bible wasn't good enough.
It's hard to get the Bible's big picture all the time, but, give it a shot.
